Both bottles are PET plastic, marked 1, and are accepted in kerbside recycling throughout New Zealand. Rinse and replace the caps before recycling.
The pumps contain a metal spring and cannot be recycled. Keep them to reuse on your next bottles, or place them in the general waste bin.
Australian kerbside collections vary by council. Check with yours before recycling.
How to use them together.
One to two pumps of shampoo into wet hair. Massage into the scalp and roots to build a lather, then rinse.
One to two pumps of conditioner through the mid-lengths and ends, avoiding the roots.
Leave for one to two minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Opposite ends of the hair.
The two do different jobs in different places. Shampoo works at the scalp, where buildup actually sits, and the lather rinses through the lengths on its way out. Conditioner belongs on the mid-lengths and ends, well away from the roots, where it weighs hair down rather than helping it.
